Launched in 2019, the HBCU Change Maker List celebrates individuals who tirelessly work behind the scenes to support HBCUs across the country. The individuals on this list have all served Historically Black Colleges and Universities in a way that will leave a lasting impression.

A changemaker impacts others' lives for the sole purpose of improving the greater good. Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays once said, “Every man and woman is born into the world to do something unique and something distinctive, and if he or she does not do it, it will never be done." This year’s selected leaders selected perform unique and distinctive work.
